The Congenial Chinchilla

The more time your spend with your pet, the more sociable it will be. It will quickly learn to recognize your, bond to you, and demand attention from you. It will even greet you when you come home.

Your plush-coated pet, with the endearing appearance, can be very sociable and quite entertaining. It dose not annoy the neighbors, and it makes a wonderful, affectionate, cuddly companion. you cannon ask for anything more! So do not be disappointed if your chinchilla dose not always do what you want it to do or if it fails to understand you. It will not come to you dependably when called, and it will not come out of, or go back into, its cage on command. Chinchillas are independent thinkers and like to do as they please! They also cannot be disciplined because they do not know what they did wrong. A chinchilla should never be punished in any way. Never strike or hit a chinchilla.

Chinchillas respond to loving care but lose trust in their owners if treated unkindly.

Remember, a chinchilla is unique. It is not llike a dog, cat, or any other rodent, for that matter. That is part of its beauty and mystique and one of the many reasons you wanted a chinchilla in the first place, right? So treat your pet gently and with compassion and understanding. In return it will trust you and be an affectionate friend.
